All About Search and Rescue
Earth Wind and Fire…
A search and rescue drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle used by emergency services, such as law enforcement, fire fighters or volunteer emergency teams. Drones are ideal for searching over wide areas for missing persons and crime victims needing to be located rescued regardless of the environment.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or sUAS, provide real-time data in the form of daylight or infrared videos in the aftermath of a natural disaster such as an earthquake, hurricane or tornado. They can also become an eye in the sky to locate a lost person or pursue a criminal activities.
When a disaster or incident threatens people or businesses, SAR (Search and Rescue) teams need real-time video of the area in order to make effective decisions and save time. sUAS vehicles provide situational awareness over a large areas, thus reducing the time and the number of teams required to locate and rescue the injured or the lost. This reduces the cost and risk of any SAR missions. The value of sUAVs has already shown to be of great value and we expect that value to increase in the near future.
